Need help with your job search? Open Computer Lab is here to help! Whether you need assistance creating an e-mail account, brushing up your resume, creating a LinkedIn account or strengthening your computer skills, Open Computer Lab has resources for you. Access the mobile computer lab and internet, tap into Anoka County Library’s rich career resources, and take advantage of hands-on assistance and instruction. This is your chance to advance your job search—how will you use it?
“Computer skills are key to getting and keeping good jobs these days,” said Anoka County Commissioner Dan Erhart. “I’m proof that you can never stop learning about the latest tools to communicate.”
Open Computer Lab is offered every Monday and Friday, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, at Rum River Library. Rum River Library is located at 4201 6th Avenue in Anoka.
“Applying for jobs online is a requirement for many companies,” said Library Board President Bob Thistle. “Job applicants can take their time and get all the help they need when dropping in to use the Open Computer Lab.”
Open Computer Lab is free to participants, and there is no registration required. The Lab is presented by Anoka County Library in partnership with the Anoka County WorkForce Center and Metro North Adult Basic Education. For more information about this and other library programs, call 763-576-4695.
